Volunteers are fundamental to achieving Safe Streets mission of mobilizing grassroots community change. More than 13,500 individuals, spanning from North Tacoma to Graham, volunteer invaluable gifts of time, leadership, strategy and care. We invite you to volunteer with us.

Block Group Leader: Lead a neighborhood block group by facilitating a monthly meeting and acting as a neighborhood liaison. Many neighborhoods have active Safe Streets block groups that you are welcome to join. To see existing group, click here.
Community Clean-Ups: a great one-time volunteer opportunity for the spring and summer. Join your neighbors in community beautification.
Graffiti Removal: remove illegal and gang-related graffiti in crime prevention efforts.
Youth Leading Change: provide after-school mentoring, activity support and share expertise at seven local high school and two middle schools.
Core Youth Meetings: present a one-time training in facilitating, conflict resolution, project planning, team building, etc.
Presenter: speak to one of seven ethnic groups hosted by Korean Women’s Association and Holy Family Church. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to exercise their skill in Vietnamese, Korean, Cambodian, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, and Samoan language.
Office Assistant/Receptionist: assist the Safe Streets team with various administrative tasks including, but not limited to, answering phones, filing paperwork, and special projects.
Marketing Committee Member: assist in the planning and development of Safe Streets strategic communications plan and provide marketing support for special events and projects.
