Safe Streets began forming connections with city and county resources more than 25 years ago, and your group will benefit from our long-standing relationships.
You’re not alone. In fact, you’re backed by one of the most trusted and powerful community-building organizations in Pierce County from the moment you reach out to Safe Streets. We provide connections, support and supplies to each of our neighborhood groups, and we’re with you every step of the way from training to event planning. Our community recognizes us with trust and support, and the same trust and recognition will be provided to your group through your relationship with Safe Streets and use of our logo and branding.
Connections: From CLOs to CEOs
Even as we work together, we can’t take charge and make change without the help of local law enforcement, government and service organizations. Safe Streets began forming connections with city and county resources more than 25 years ago, and your group will benefit from our long-standing relationships. We consistently work to ensure our neighborhood groups are able to contact and receive help from community liaison officers, code enforcement officers and other community support and service organizations.
Support: Mobilizers, trainings and events, oh my!
Five Safe Streets community mobilizers serve Tacoma and Pierce County and advocate for your concerns. Each mobilizer serves a different region, which allows them to attend neighborhood group meetings and understand how best to serve you. We also regularly host trainings tailored to your community, giving you ample opportunities to learn how to connect better with your neighbors or begin a neighborhood watch. Your group can also join Safe Streets and other neighborhood groups at events throughout the year, including the Champion Breakfast and National Night Out.
Supplies: Providing Personalized Promotion
Each group connects and protects a different neighborhood, and we realize your group needs individualized products! To address your needs, our mobilizers and communication team work together to personalize and produce signs, posters and flyers for your meetings and events. We want to help you with the promotion and visibility you need to unite your neighbors to make change in your community.
