Safe Streets is dedicated to making Tacoma/Pierce County better. Thank you for making change possible.
Each time you attend a group meeting, volunteer at an event, or support us financially, you are helping create a safe, healthy neighborhood. This spring we need your help to make our community a safer, more inviting place to live.
Did you know that over the past 5 years Safe Streets funding has changed? We need your gift more than ever.
In 2010 Safe Streets received over 2 million dollars in federal funding.
In 2015 federal funds are not available for our programs.
We must have your help to continue working in the community.
Safe Streets has organized and trained a network of 120 community groups in high-risk neighborhoods; over 13,500 neighborhood leaders and 190,000 residents. Our Youth Leading Change program has 9 chapters with more than 8,000 youth learning leadership and conducting violence prevention projects like teen suicide and distracted driving awareness.
Your support is absolutely essential to shut down drug houses, stand up to bullies, and empower neighbors to make every street safe.
Support Safe Streets however you are able. Volunteer, spread the word, and please donate, because none of this would be possible without you.
