Awareness & Safety Training

Safe Streets will be hosting a free public Awareness & Safety Training on Tuesday, Feb 19th, from 6pm-9pm at the Fern Hill Elementary, 8442 S Park Ave, Tacoma, WA 98444. The training will be held in the library of the school on the second floor.

We will be hosting public trainings quarterly at different locations throughout Tacoma and Pierce County, dates and locations to be released soon. Please register below. We hope to see you there!


This training is offered by Safe Streets in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity Connects and the Tacoma Police Department. The goal of this training is to increase attendees’ understanding of their resources and their capacity to effectively identify and report suspicious activity.

Topics covered include:
-Neighborhood Organizing
-How you can partner with Law Enforcement
-When to call 911 and what to expect
-Awareness & Safety recommendations
-Making quick descriptions
-& more!

The training will take place in the library on the second floor of Fern Hill Elementary School. Light refreshments will be provided by Habitat for Humanity.
