Come learn how you can build community through Building Beyond the Walls’ free construction training as the conduit that engages, educates, and empowers its participants as well as Food is Free’s efforts to increase food access to Tacoma and learn about the 20% Initiative and the role it has played in Tacoma’s food supply chain.
October 12: Ending Street Homelessness by November 1st– plans and progress with James Pogue and Gerrit Nyland
Join us in hearing representatives from Homeless Services at Comprehensive Life Resources and Tacoma Pierce County Coalition to End Homelessness on the County’s efforts around sheltering everyone and the health effects of being homeless.

Have you ever wondered how you can best prepare in the event of a disaster? We’ve got you covered! In this session, our speakers will walk participants through some easy preparations they can make now to keep themselves safe from potential harm.
October 26: How to Engage Others Roundtable with Erik Hasstedt
Looking for new ways to bring folks to your project, group, or initiative and keep them involved? In this session, you will connect with other volunteers and organizers in small and large groups to brainstorm how you can effectively engage others.
